Improper Handling of COVID-19 in Britain Leads to Excessive Deaths and Economic Losses

Islamabad:According to a report published in a reputable international news agency, Britain’s mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in excessive deaths and economic damage. The COVID-19 inquiry report highlighted that inadequate preparedness to tackle a global pandemic led to losses. Instead of focusing on preventing the disease like influenza, efforts were concentrated on managing those affected.

The report indicates that Britain suffered significant casualties and economic setbacks due to improper management of the global pandemic. Unlike some other countries, Britain did not adopt stringent border controls and virus surveillance measures to curb its spread.

It is noteworthy that nearly 227,000 individuals lost their lives in Britain due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
