Naila Raja Breaks Silence on Imad Wasim Affair Allegations, Clarifies Viral Video Controversy
Karachi: Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim found himself at the center of a social media storm recently after rumors began circulating about an alleged affair with social media influencer Naila Raja. The controversy intensified when a video surfaced from London showing Imad walking with a woman, whom some claimed to be Naila. Critics quickly accused the cricketer of being unfaithful to his pregnant wife, Saniya Ashfaq.
In response, Naila Raja finally broke her silence and issued a strong, detailed statement on Instagram. She called out the baseless rumors and clarified that the video in question was shared by her on her own Instagram story — dismissing any notion that it was secretive or inappropriate.

Naila questioned how a simple story could be blown out of proportion into serious allegations about someone’s personal life. She criticized the societal tendency to link a woman’s honor solely to her actions, while ignoring her own dignity and integrity.
Highlighting the damaging impact of moral policing, she said people are quick to judge without context or evidence, often in an attempt to feel morally superior. Such behavior, she warned, contributes to dangerous trends like honor-based violence.
She further explained that the video was taken outside an eyewear shop in London, and was deliberately filmed from an angle that excluded others present at the scene — giving a false impression of intimacy.
Naila also revealed that her brother had received threatening and provocative messages, pressuring him to “control” his sister. Outraged, she asserted that she is a proud, hardworking woman who has built her life on her own terms and demanded that her dignity be respected.
This is not the first time Imad Wasim has faced such allegations. In the past, he was linked to an Afghan girl, with pictures going viral online. However, Imad has yet to respond to the current controversy.
