Actress Dua Malik Reveals Harassment Experience in Industry, Says Prominent Figure Involved

Islamabad – Actress and television host Dua Malik has, for the first time, openly revealed that she faced harassment in the entertainment industry and endured a casting couch incident involving a highly influential personality in Pakistan.

Speaking on a podcast, Dua Malik shared insights into her career struggles, the darker side of showbiz, and her personal life. She admitted that she does not want her children to join the entertainment industry, which is why she moved them to the United States to keep them away from such an environment.

Initially, Malik said she had never experienced casting couch situations, explaining that strong individuals who firmly say “no” are often able to avoid such pressure. She noted that while many young women in the industry fall victim due to vulnerability, she and her sister, actress Humaima Malik, always stood their ground.

Dua Malik recalled that she was naturally timid as a child, while her sister Humaima was much braver, which protected them from many challenges. However, she later admitted that she did face such a situation once, which caused significant setbacks in her career.

Without naming the person involved, Malik said the figure was a “very prominent personality in Pakistan” but chose not to disclose further details. She emphasized that, although she now lives in the U.S., her family remains in Pakistan, and she does not want to risk their safety by publicly exposing the incident.
