Omar Ayub Faces Possible Disqualification: Election Commission Schedules Hearing for July 15

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has scheduled a hearing regarding the disqualification case of Opposition Leader and PTI leader Omar Ayub. The hearing will take place on July 15.
According to Express News, the case concerns allegations of discrepancies in Ayub’s asset declarations and his failure to accurately report financial details in his nomination papers. The petition against Omar Ayub was filed by PML-N’s Babar Nawaz, who claims that Ayub has misrepresented his assets.
Furthermore, a citizen’s request led to a reference being sent to the Election Commission by the Speaker of the National Assembly for further investigation into the matter.
