Senator Ali Zafar’s Comments
Earlier, PTI’s representative in the Judicial Commission, Senator Ali Zafar, spoke to the media outside the Supreme Court, stating that their stance is to appoint the senior-most judge as Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court. He mentioned that the issue of judges’ seniority in Islamabad High Court is still pending in an intra-court appeal.
Senator Zafar emphasized that the matter should not be considered until the intra-court appeal is resolved. If their stance is not accepted, they will vote on the issue, though he declined to disclose how they would vote.
