Sawat: Earthquake tremors were felt in Mingora and its surrounding areas today, causing widespread panic among the residents. According to the seismology center, the earthquake registered a magnitude of 4.6 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 51 kilometers beneath the earth’s surface. The epicenter of the quake was located in Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush mountain region.
No immediate reports of casualties or property damage have been received, but the tremors prompted people to rush out of their homes, reciting religious prayers for safety. Authorities are monitoring the situation, and residents have been urged to remain alert.
