Mother Walks Escaped Son Back to Jail, Urges Him Not to Run Again

In a remarkable display of integrity and parental responsibility, a mother in Karachi took her escaped son back to Malir Jail after he unexpectedly showed up at their home.

According to the mother, her son — who had been serving a six-month sentence for theft — arrived home at around 3:00 PM and confessed that he had escaped from prison. Without hesitation, the mother decided to take him back. She walked with him all the way to Malir Jail and handed him over to prison authorities.

The father of the prisoner stated that his son was innocent and had been jailed simply for appearing in a photo with a friend who was allegedly involved in a crime. The mother, however, emphasized the importance of doing the right thing. “I told him not to run from jail,” she said. “They could shoot you if they catch you running. It’s better to go back and face the consequences.”

This incident has drawn attention on social media and among the public, highlighting both the flaws in the justice system and the powerful moral compass of a mother who chose the hard right over the easy wrong.
