PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui Rejects Reports of Deal with Imran Khan

Islamabad:Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Irfan Siddiqui has rejected the recent reports claiming a potential deal between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

In an exclusive interview with Geo News, Senator Siddiqui stated that no government official has made contact with Imran Khan, and there have been no negotiations or offers. He dismissed the claims as baseless, emphasizing that such rumors are frequently circulated but lack any truth. He added that any communications with Imran Khan are happening within his own party.

Siddiqui further clarified that the stage for negotiations or offers with Imran Khan has already passed, as the PTI continues to call for a ceasefire, but no firing has taken place from the government or any other institutions.

This comes after recent news reports claimed that Imran Khan had accepted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s offer for talks. According to well-informed sources, Imran Khan, the founder of PTI and a former prime minister currently imprisoned, had shown willingness to engage in dialogue with the government following Sharif’s offer.

However, news on Monday suggested that, despite the circulating political rumors, PTI has not yet received any offer or concession from the government.
