Severe Criticism of Government as Pashtunkhwa MAP Condemns Resource Grab and Lawlessness in Ziarat and Sanjawi

Ziarat: The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) has strongly condemned the deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan’s Ziarat and Sanjawi regions, calling the discovery of dead bodies and the ongoing land and resource grabs a “malicious conspiracy” against the local population.
Speaking at separate meetings of the PMAP’s Ziarat District Committee and Sanjawi Tehsil Committee, party leaders including Provincial President Abdul Qahar Wadan, General Secretary Kabir Afghan, Labor Secretary Habib-ur-Rehman Bazai, Deputy Secretary Sardar Habib-ur-Rehman Damdar, and District Secretary Sardar Mirowais Khan, criticized the government’s failure to provide basic services and maintain peace.
The leaders alleged that the government has failed to establish law and order, while illegal land allotments and exploitation of local mineral resources continue unchecked. They demanded the immediate transfer of Sanjawi’s Assistant Commissioner, accusing him of anti-public behavior.
The party decried unannounced power outages and the lack of access to clean water, electricity, and natural gas in the region. They noted that the absence of gas has led to the destruction of Ziarat’s iconic juniper forests, an internationally recognized environmental heritage, due to excessive tree-cutting for fuel, resulting in ecological and climate-related damage.
The speakers also criticized the government’s use of “Form 47” and termed its policies unconstitutional, undemocratic, and exploitative. They emphasized that Ziarat and Sanjawi—once important tourist destinations—are now neglected due to insecurity and state apathy.
Calling for political and organizational mobilization, PMAP leaders urged party members to strengthen grassroots structures and hold regular local meetings to intensify their struggle for regional autonomy and resource control. They reaffirmed their commitment to resisting any unlawful actions through democratic means, stating that the rightful owners of the land and resources are the brave and conscious people of the region.
