Illegal Raids on Warehouses, Showrooms, and Parking Areas in Quetta Threaten Jobs, Business: Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party Condemns

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) – The Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PNAP) has strongly condemned the recent illegal raids conducted by Customs, FC, police, and other authorities on motor showrooms, warehouses, and vehicle parking areas across Quetta, describing them as tantamount to an “economic massacre” of the public.
In a press release from the party’s provincial secretariat, PNAP stated that these measures, carried out under the supervision of federal and provincial governments, are severely impacting thousands of people by threatening their businesses and livelihoods. The statement highlighted that trade on the Durand Line has been completely halted, while demonstrations have persisted at the Chaman-Vish Border for over two years, with commercial activities along other Durand Line routes also suspended.
The party criticized the government, saying that in addition to imposing terrorism on the people of Pashtunkhwa and Balochistan, disastrous droughts and crop failures have further crippled agriculture. Amid such severe conditions, depriving citizens of their livelihoods is comparable to “burying them alive,” the statement added.
PNAP emphasized that the government’s unconstitutional and illegal actions will not be accepted and vowed to fight for the protection of economic rights and employment for its people. The party called on the federal government and all subordinate departments, including Customs, FC, and police, to refrain from illegal raids and ensure citizens’ constitutional and legal right to earn a living, warning that continued actions could worsen the economic plight of the affected communities.
