Saudi Airlines Introduces Cooling Ihram for Hajj Pilgrims
Riyadh:Saudi Airlines (Saudia) has completed preparations to introduce a revolutionary **cooling Ihram** for Hajj pilgrims, ensuring a more comfortable journey for those traveling to Mecca.
**Essam Akhunbai**, the marketing manager at Saudia, stated that the cooling Ihram has been designed using advanced technology to maintain a cool temperature, protecting the wearer from excessive heat. *“The Ihram has been designed with specific technology to keep the body cool, providing comfort in extreme temperatures,”* he explained.
The creation of the cooling Ihram involved collaboration with a U.S.-based company, and it will be officially showcased at the **Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025** in Dubai. Akhunbai further elaborated that the fabric technology used in its production helps protect the skin from the harsh heat, reducing the impact of heat by **1 to 2 degrees Celsius**.
This innovative Ihram will be available starting this **June**, offering pilgrims a much-needed relief from the scorching temperatures during their sacred journey to Mecca.
