US Issues Travel Advisory for Pakistan, Urges Citizens to Avoid Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan

Washington:The United States has issued a travel advisory for its citizens, warning them to avoid traveling to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan in Pakistan due to security concerns. The advisory, issued by the U.S. Department of State, highlights the ongoing threat of violent extremist groups planning attacks, particularly in these two provinces.
The statement emphasized that terrorists could launch attacks without warning, with potential targets including shopping malls, military installations, airports, universities, and places of worship. The advisory further noted that U.S. government personnel in Pakistan have been prohibited from attending large gatherings due to the heightened risks.
According to foreign media reports, the Trump administration is considering new travel restrictions that may soon prevent individuals from Pakistan and Afghanistan from entering the United States. Additionally, approximately 200,000 Afghan nationals, whose resettlement in the U.S. has been approved or whose visa applications are pending, are facing uncertainty regarding their future.
