Balochistan Service Tribunal Orders Reinstatement of 293 Police Personnel Fired by Former IGP

Quetta:The **Balochistan Service Tribunal** has reinstated **293 police personnel** who were dismissed by former **Inspector General of Police (IGP)** **Abdul Khaliq Shaikh**. These personnel had been fired several years ago due to minor issues related to their conduct.

The reinstatement decision came after **former Additional IGP**, **Javed Dogar**, took into account the **unemployment** crisis in **Balochistan** and the poor condition of potential candidates, and decided to reinstate the dismissed personnel. However, when **Javed Dogar** was transferred out of Balochistan, the then **IGP Abdul Khaliq Shaikh** reversed the reinstatement and dismissed these personnel once again.

In response, the dismissed officers filed a petition with the **Service Tribunal**, challenging the decision. After reviewing the case, the tribunal ruled in favor of the petitioners and ordered their **reinstatement**, granting them their jobs back.

This decision is seen as a relief to the 293 police personnel who had been struggling with unemployment and uncertain futures, especially in the context of the difficult job market in Balochistan.
