Pet Parrot Goes Missing in Quetta, Family Launches Search Campaign
QUETTA:Many people develop deep emotional bonds with their pets, and for some, pets become as important as family members. One such case has emerged in Quetta, where a family is distressed over the disappearance of their pet parrot, which they consider an integral part of their household.
The parrot, a hill mynah known for its ability to mimic human speech, went missing on November 5. The family is not only worried but also taking various measures to locate the bird. These efforts include posting missing flyers in local neighborhoods and sharing pictures and videos of the parrot on social media, urging the public to report any sightings. The family is even offering a reward for anyone who can help in locating the missing bird.
In the central area of Zarghoon Road, one can see a unique missing flyer featuring the parrot’s picture. The flyer, titled *”Missing Mountain Mynah,”* describes the bird’s unique traits and urges the public to help bring it home.
The woman, a resident of P&T Colony, shared her distress with the media, saying, “We are extremely worried after our parrot flew away. Since then, we have been searching for it nonstop. We’ve put up missing posters and shared its pictures and videos on social media, asking anyone who has seen the parrot to contact us.”
The woman described the parrot as a special member of their family, and she mentioned that its loss has left the entire household heartbroken. “This parrot is very dear to us. It speaks several languages and has a special bond with every family member. We are deeply saddened by its disappearance,” she said.
The woman added that the parrot, which is of a highly valued breed, is worth over 500,000 rupees, making its loss not just emotionally significant but financially impactful as well.
The family’s search for the parrot has captured the attention of the local community, with many people expressing sympathy and offering their help. The bond between humans and their pets, particularly those who can mimic human speech like parrots, is often strong, making such losses particularly difficult to bear.
