40 Unknown Individuals Kicked Doors and Climbed Onto Roofs; Workers Know Well How to Defend the Leadership: Maulana Abdul Rehman Rafiq and Others

QUETTA (Daily Qudrat Quetta): JUI Quetta district Ameer Maulana Abdul Rehman Rafiq, Central Majlis-e-Fiqhi head Mufti Muhammad Rozi Khan, District General Secretary Haji Ainullah Shams, Provincial Deputy Ameer and Senior Deputy Ameer Quetta Maulana Khurshid Ahmed, Deputy General Secretary Haji Bashir Ahmed Kakar, Maulana Muhammad Ayub Ayubi, Abdul Ghani Shehzad, Maulana Muhibullah, Hafiz Shabbir Ahmed Madani, Haji Rahmatullah, Maulana Shoaib Jadun, Haji Saleh Muhammad, Haji Qasim Khalji, Abdul Samad Haqyar and Safiullah Mengal, in their joint statement, have strongly condemned the attack on the house of JUI central leader, distinguished lawyer and Senator Kamran Murtaza, the harassment of his family and the violation of the sanctity of private space.
The leaders said: what is Senator Kamran Murtaza’s fault? Has defending the stance of JUI chief Hazrat Maulana Fazlur Rehman with arguments, answering baseless allegations with constitutional and legal arguments and representing the truth become a crime? If this is the crime, then JUI will not retreat from its principled stance.
The leaders revealed that on 4 November, approximately forty unknown individuals surrounded Senator Kamran Murtaza’s house, kicked the main gate, climbed the walls and took pictures of the inside of the house, and subjected his family to severe fear and panic. Later, his ancestral house was also surrounded, doors were kicked and they climbed onto the roofs. At that time, besides his younger brother Adnan, women and innocent children were present in the house. When asked to identify themselves, the said individuals refused to disclose their identity and claimed to have come on the instructions of law-enforcement agencies.
The leaders raised the question that if this is the condition of an elected senator and former president of the Supreme Court’s house, then who will protect the life and property of an ordinary citizen? The leaders warned that if such illegal tactics are not stopped, workers will stand shoulder to shoulder with the leadership and offer full resistance on every front.
