Iran Warns US Against Military Aggression, Says Attack Would Lead to Defeat
TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has warned Washington that an attack on Iran would bring defeat rather than victory for the United States.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, Baghaei said the United States had been dragged into an illegal and devastating war against Iran out of greed and in support of a deceptive party.
He described the move as the result of failed American calculations and strategic misjudgments.
The Iranian spokesperson said the American people had delivered a clear message to their leaders through the midterm election results.
He warned that if the US administration continued its dangerous policies while ignoring realities on the ground, the consequences of its mistakes would be far more serious than anything experienced in the past.
Baghaei further stressed that Iran was not a country that could be intimidated by threats or forced to surrender through aggression.
