Government and Police Completely Paralysed Over Daytime Abduction of Citizen from Quetta’s Sorenj Area; Worst Law and Order Situation Has Exposed the Government’s Authority: Pashtunkhwa NAP

Abduction of Siraj-ud-Din, 29-year-old Son of Malik Noor-ud-Din, from Sorenj Coal Mines Is Open Lawlessness; He Should Be Recovered Immediately Instead of Mere Statements: Statement

QUETTA (Daily Qudrat Quetta): The Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PkNAP) has strongly condemned the abduction of Siraj-ud-Din Kakar, 29-year-old son of Malik Noor-ud-Din Kakar — a member of the party’s central committee and regional secretary for Sorenj — and demanded his immediate and safe recovery. The party described the incident as a serious challenge to the protection of citizens’ lives and property and to the rule of law.

According to the party’s statement, Siraj-ud-Din, son of Malik Noor-ud-Din Kakar of the Kakar Yasinzai tribe, was abducted at gunpoint by armed men on Monday, 19 October, from a shop located in the PMDC Sorenj Coal Mines area. The statement said that despite several days having passed since the incident, the hostage has not been recovered, causing severe concern among his family and the people of the area.

The Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party said that providing protection to citizens in business and daily life is the primary responsibility of the government and relevant institutions. The abduction of citizens in broad daylight and the absence of effective measures for their recovery raise questions about the law and order situation. According to the party, the people need to be provided protection through practical measures rather than mere assurances.

The statement further said that silence or negligence over grave incidents such as the abduction of citizens is unacceptable under any circumstances. The Balochistan government, district administration, police and other relevant institutions should utilise all available resources for the immediate, safe and unconditional recovery of Siraj-ud-Din Kakar, conduct an impartial investigation into the incident and bring the elements involved before the law.

The party demanded that the hostage’s family be kept regularly informed of the measures being taken for his recovery. Expressing complete solidarity with Malik Noor-ud-Din Kakar and his family, the statement said that protecting the lives and property of citizens is the state’s primary responsibility, and the relevant authorities should fulfil their responsibilities without further delay.
