Fake Visa Fraud Exposed in Two Major FIA Karachi Operations

KARACHI – The Anti-Human Trafficking Circle of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Karachi has carried out two successful operations against human trafficking and immigration fraud. During these operations, fake visa fraud involving Canada and Bahrain was exposed, and a total of Rs 1.9 million was successfully recovered and returned to the affected citizens, who were provided immediate legal relief.

According to a detailed statement issued by an FIA spokesperson, the first operation was conducted in connection with Canada immigration fraud. In this case, a fraudulent immigration consultant had swindled Rs 1.1 million from an innocent citizen, Ajmal Khan, on the false promise of assisting with Canadian immigration and a work visa.

It was stated that when the fraud was exposed, the affected citizen immediately approached the FIA. A prompt investigation team of the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi immediately launched an inquiry and, using professional expertise, put pressure on the accused.

As a result, the entire amount was successfully recovered and handed over to the affected citizen, Ajmal Khan. This timely action not only provided major financial relief to the affected citizen but is also clear proof of the FIA’s firm commitment to protecting the rights and interests of complainants.

The spokesperson further stated that in its second major operation, FIA Karachi caught another despicable network involved in human trafficking. During this operation, the main accused in a human trafficking case, Yaseen Khan, was arrested. A case has been registered against the arrested accused under Sections 3 and 4 of the Prevention of Smuggling of Migrants Act 2018 under strict provisions of the law.

Initial investigation and records revealed important facts that the accused had made a false promise to a naive citizen of a lucrative work visa for the Gulf country Bahrain, and for this despicable purpose a total of Rs 800,000 was agreed upon. The accused had also received Rs 520,000 in advance in the name of providing the visa.

However, when serious legal doubts arose regarding the visa and travel documents, timely action was taken to stop the affected citizen from traveling further, and the matter was then handed over to Anti-Human Trafficking Circle officials for complete legal proceedings. The FIA investigation team’s search for other elements involved in this heinous network and further in-depth investigation into all aspects of the case is ongoing.
