Russian Interior Minister meets Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at GHQ
ISLAMABAD: The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Kolokoltsev, visited the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi and met with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest and the regional security situation were discussed.
According to ISPR, both sides placed special emphasis on strengthening bilateral security cooperation and highlighted the importance of close institutional ties and enhanced coordination between the security institutions of Pakistan and Russia.
The Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to further deepening its long-standing ties with Russia and expanding tangible cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly in the field of security.
He appreciated Pakistan’s services for regional peace and stability and acknowledged the professionalism and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the war against terrorism.
