Quetta (Quwat Roznama): Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party’s Central Senior Secretary Syed Abdul Qadir Agha Advocate, Provincial President Nasrullah Khan Zira and Provincial Office Secretary Nida Sangar have said that only a strong organisation and a well-disciplined political party can play an effective role in achieving national goals. The Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party, while adhering to its ideology, constitution and manifesto, will continue its political and democratic struggle for the national unity of the Pashtunkhwa homeland, true authority and autonomy, the elimination of terrorism from the Pashtunkhwa homeland, the achievement of national rights of oppressed nations in the country, the restoration of true democracy, and against the unjust and imposed government established through Form 47.
These views were expressed while addressing the monthly district committee meeting of Pashtunkhwa NAP District Quetta. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Provincial President Nasrullah Khan Zira, and was attended by Provincial Secretary General Faqir Khushal Kasi, provincial deputy secretaries, district coordinators, regional secretaries, senior coordinators and members of the standing committee. During the meeting, performance reports of various regional units were presented, which were reviewed in detail and critically. The meeting also announced the schedule of regional conferences to be held in various areas under the upcoming organisational agenda, according to which regional conferences will be held on 2 October at Ghausabad Lor Karez, 8 October at Takhtani Bypass No. 1, 9 October at Shar, 11 October at Nawan Kali, 16 October at Shahdara, 18 October at Wazir Kasi Karez and Hazargangi Sariab, 23 October at Pashtunabad, Pashtun Dara and Baleli, 24 October at Saraghargai, while on 30 October at Mahmood Mina and Kotwal.
The meeting appreciated and congratulated the relevant party organisations and workers on the successful holding of regional conferences and inclusion gatherings in Naushki, Samungli, Gharbarg and Afghania Kharotabad.
The speakers said that Pashtunkhwa NAP is a democratic, constitutional and ideological political party of the Pashtunkhwa homeland, whose struggle is based on a scientific and revolutionary political ideology. The party continues its struggle for the establishment of national unity of the Pashtun people, true democracy in the country, national rights of oppressed nations, complete elimination of terrorism, the establishment of a people-elected government in Afghanistan, the convening of a Loya Jirga, and respect for the fundamental and human rights of all citizens, including women.
They said that during the past almost eight decades, the unfair distribution of power and resources in the country has kept oppressed nations deprived of political, economic and national rights. Pashtuns, Baloch, Sindhis, Saraikis and other oppressed nations are continuously struggling for the achievement of their national resources, authority and rights, while now voices are also being raised by the Kashmiri and Gilgit people regarding their rights and authority.
The speakers said that legislation related to mines and minerals in the province and authority over precious and rare mineral resources, especially rare earth minerals, are extremely important matters. They said that terrorism and unrest have severely affected the people of the Pashtunkhwa homeland, and incidents of artificial unrest have left the entire homeland drenched in blood. The situation has reached the point where travel on highways and living a normal life have become difficult for the people in various areas of the Pashtunkhwa homeland.
They said that the current situation demands that all democratic and political forces of the Pashtunkhwa homeland, especially Pashtun political parties, promote mutual unity and consensus. Pashtunkhwa NAP Chairman and Member of the National Assembly Khushal Khan Kakar and Co-Chairman Mukhtar Khan Yousafzai have on numerous occasions appealed to all political parties, especially Pashtun political forces, for national unity and the establishment of a common national front. The party even today believes that unity and consensus are the need of the hour for achieving the political, national and democratic rights of oppressed nations and the Pashtun nation.
The speakers termed the removal of wall chalking of Pashtunkhwa NAP, including the wall chalking of national martyr Usman Khan Kakar in District Qila Saifullah, and party flags as immoral and non-political, and said that such actions are tantamount to hurting the political and national sentiments of the Pashtun nation. They urged the relevant elements to refrain from such non-political and inappropriate actions. They made it clear that Pashtunkhwa NAP respects all political parties and political workers and expects that all political forces will also maintain the tradition of mutual respect and political tolerance.
The meeting also reviewed in detail the organisational performance of District Quetta and future programmes. It was emphasised that in the coming days, important organisational meetings and regional conferences of the party will be held, for the success of which District Quetta will have to make comprehensive preparations. The speakers said that District Quetta will play an important role in implementing the recent decisions of the central committee, and in this regard all regional organisations will have to fulfil their responsibilities effectively.
The meeting, while welcoming the continuous process of people and various political and social segments joining Pashtunkhwa NAP, said that the joining of people in the party reflects that public support for the party’s democratic, national and progressive politics is increasing. The meeting decided that organisational activity will be made more effective, new workers will be organised, and all available organisational capabilities will be utilised for the success of the upcoming regional and district conferences.
