People of Balochistan Deprived of Two Square Meals a Day; Protection of Coast and Resources Impossible Without an Organized Political Party: National Party

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) — The two-day meeting of the Working Committee of the National Party Balochistan Unity began in Quetta under the chairmanship of the party’s provincial president, Chairman Aslam Baloch. In his inaugural address at the first day’s session, Aslam Baloch said that life has become difficult for the people of Balochistan. Due to unemployment, unrest, and political and economic instability, people have been deprived of two square meals a day. In such a situation, the protection of our coast and resources is impossible without an organized political party. In such circumstances, the only support of the people is the National Party, which must be organized by going door to door. Aslam Baloch said that border trade was the only source of livelihood for the people of Balochistan; by closing it, not only were millions of people deprived of two square meals a day, but thousands of children were also pushed out of schools, and it has become the worst social problem in the entire region. After snatching political representation, now resources are being snatched, which has enormously increased the sense of deprivation and unrest. The meeting will continue on Friday as well.

Addressing the first day’s session, Deputy Parliamentary Leader of the party in the Balochistan Assembly, Rahmat Saleh Baloch, said that the National Party will not compromise on the national, political, and economic rights of the people of Balochistan. If the promised amendment bill on the Mines and Minerals Bill is not brought, they will bring a private bill together with the opposition. Addressing the meeting, Member of the National Assembly Phalin Baloch said that Islamabad has never taken Balochistan’s problems seriously. Until when can any national unity be kept deprived of its constitutional rights? Even today the situation is the same: injustice and exploitation continue on a large scale. Representatives of various districts presented reports on their respective regions and districts at the meeting. The meeting will also continue on Friday.
