5 Laborers Abducted from Pankai Area of Tehsil Gulistan in Qila Abdullah Recovered

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) — Five laborers abducted a day earlier from the Pankai area of Tehsil Gulistan in Qila Abdullah district of Balochistan have been recovered.
According to reports, local tribal elders contacted the armed kidnapper gang and requested the release of the laborers, after which all five laborers were released.
Tribal leaders took the laborers to the house of local resident Sajid in Gulistan, from where they were handed over to the administration and police.
According to police, further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
All five laborers are employees of a goods transport company and had come to Gulistan to load melons.
Earlier on Tuesday, news had emerged that five laborers belonging to Punjab had been abducted from Qila Abdullah district of Balochistan.
An official of Qila Abdullah Police, speaking to a foreign news agency on condition of anonymity, had said that the incident occurred on Sunday in the Girdi Pankai area of Tehsil Gulistan in Qila Abdullah, adjacent to Quetta.
According to the police official, all five individuals had come in two vehicles to load melons when more than ten people riding motorcycles arrived and forcibly took all five individuals with them.
The abductees were identified as Muhammad Azaan, Muhammad Adnan, Muhammad Shahzad, Inam Raza, and Baqir Hussain.
SP Qila Abdullah Khalil Bugti, when contacted, had said that information about the abduction of laborers had been received; however, we cannot confirm it so far.
Last month as well, six people who had come from Punjab to buy grapes had been abducted from the Gulistan area of Qila Abdullah and then taken to the Saranan area of Pishin and killed. The banned Baloch Liberation Army had claimed responsibility for that incident; however, no organization has so far claimed responsibility for this incident.
