Recent Wave of Terrorism in Southern Pashtunkhwa Is Part of a Deliberate Plan; Rulers Are Creating New Buffer Zones for Expansionist Goals: Khushal Khan Kakar

Swat (Daily Qudrat): Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party Chairman Khushal Khan Kakar has said that the party’s Central Committee is a policymaking body. Decisions made as a result of members’ participation, suggestions, information, and constructive criticism are commendable. Our homeland, nation, and oppressed people also hope that the party, while adhering to democratic principles, will further accelerate its struggle with a clear stance. On the other hand, due to challenges and an uncertain situation, we must work with greater responsibility and seriousness.
He expressed these views while addressing the party’s two-day Central Committee meeting held in Swat. The meeting was presided over by party Chairman Khushal Khan Kakar and Co-Chairman Mukhtar Khan Yousafzai, and was attended by Central Committee members belonging to various parts of the country and Pashtunkhwa. During the meeting, party Central Secretary General Khurshid Kaka Ji presented the political and organizational report, while important decisions were also taken regarding the future course of action.
Addressing the meeting, Khushal Khan Kakar said that the priorities of the world’s powerful nations and countries are changing. The US attack and war on Iran, and against it the Iranian nation’s national spirit and resistance, are commendable for the world’s free nations and democratic movements. He said that Iranian resistance has pushed the superpower against the wall. In this war, several aspects regarding economic planning, weapons stockpiles, and defense strategy also failed, while alliances like NATO could not play a decisive role either. The whole world was involved in this war in one way or another.
He said that the acceleration in the resistance of Yemen’s Houthis has given rise to a new situation, while the support of various forces behind it is also creating a new situation in the region. The specific situation emerging between the region and various countries will also affect our homeland. America’s failure in this war may force it to adopt a new policy, in which mineral resources, especially Rare Earth Elements (precious and rare minerals), will have importance. China currently has a monopoly over these minerals, and their use in modern technology is of fundamental importance.
He said that in this situation, the rulers of our country are making efforts to create new buffer zones for their expansionist goals. Therefore, the leadership and workers of Pashtunkhwa NAP must move forward with extreme prudence and foresight, keeping in view all situations.
He said that the recent increase in the wave of terrorism in southern Pashtunkhwa is part of a deliberate plan, and whatever elements are involved in it are condemnable and unacceptable.
Khushal Khan Kakar said that we have no disagreement with the national movements of other nations; rather, we have always supported their legitimate rights and powers in accordance with high human and democratic principles. However, we cannot ignore the negative behavior affecting us. False claims over our cities and areas are unacceptable in any case.

He said that the commercial and economic activities of our people are ending, our agriculture is declining, while the laboring people of Pashtunkhwa homeland are being expelled from Arab countries. Due to the unjust closure of all routes with Afghanistan, billions of dollars in trade and business have been affected. No effective project for southern Pashtunkhwa is included in the central PSDP, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is also not being given its legitimate funds. Major highways have become unsafe, and the insecurity of highways and the overall uncertain situation have had further negative effects on our people’s businesses.
He said that in this situation, the concerns faced by the Pashtun nation are extremely legitimate. It is essential to raise one’s voice on such real issues. Creating justification for operations on the basis of instability created by outsiders in our areas is unacceptable in any case.
He said that we must formulate our policy by correctly analyzing situations and events and must advance the struggle for our nation’s national equality, national authority and power, and national unity.
He said that attacks on Afghanistan and the Afghan people in the name of terrorism are unacceptable; rather, their purpose is a failed attempt to fragment Afghanistan.
He said that the business agreement between Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia, and the Makkah agreement between Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, are new beginnings in the region, and they will have separate effects on our homeland as well.
He said that the painful situation faced by the Afghan nation cannot be ignored. The Afghan people should be granted all basic human rights in accordance with the world’s highest human, Islamic, and Pashtun principles. They must be given the right to choose rulers of their choice, while the provision of education and basic human rights to both men and women must be ensured. Without acquiring modern education, development, prosperity, and a dignified life are impossible.
He said that party officials and workers must, keeping in view these sensitive conditions, fulfill their responsibilities timely with greater seriousness, political insight, and scholarly capability. They must completely avoid unnecessary debates and becoming spokespersons for others’ statements without reason. They must discharge their responsibilities in the light of the party’s narrative and positive values.
He said that from Swat to Sibi, a more organized and continuous struggle is needed to rid the Pashtunkhwa homeland of imposed artificial terrorism. To advance this struggle, coalition politics must be prioritized. The sincerity, courage, and bravery of our party’s leadership and workers are commendable, but we must not oppose anyone on the basis of malice while upholding our high Pashtun, social, and democratic values.
Emphasizing especially the use of social media, he said that it must be used in a positive manner for our homeland, our nation, and our movement. Abandoning unnecessary stubbornness and egoism, one must move forward as a broad-minded and patriotic worker.
He said that the activities and programs of the party’s women’s wing are welcome and commendable. The women’s wing needs to be made more active, broad, and organized.
Khushal Khan Kakar said that the holding of a historic gathering in Qila Saifullah on the occasion of the fifth death anniversary of national martyr Usman Khan Kakar is the result of the hard work and sincerity of party officials, workers, and sympathizers and the support and backing of our honorable people, which will have far-reaching effects.
Urging timely implementation of party decisions, he said that we must mind our own business while taking care of each and every worker and must discharge the party’s organizational responsibilities in the best manner.
Appreciating the performance of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Party, Swat Party, Pashtunkhwa SO, and various administrative committees, he paid tribute to them and thanked them.
He said that the honorable people of Swat have hosted hundreds of our colleagues and served them with their Pashtun honor, traditions, and love. We are deeply grateful to all those households in Swat, men and women alike.
