ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the drone and missile attacks launched by Houthi rebels on civilian areas and economic installations in Saudi Arabia, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the security and sovereignty of the brotherly Islamic nation.

In a statement issued via social media platform X, the Prime Minister described the attacks as a “cowardly act” and expressed his deep concern over the targeting of innocent civilians and vital economic infrastructure.

“Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with our brotherly country Saudi Arabia in this difficult hour,” PM Sharif said in his statement.

The Prime Minister expressed his best wishes and prayers for the speedy and complete recovery of all those injured in the attacks, which reportedly resulted in multiple casualties.

Terming the assaults a serious threat to regional peace and stability, PM Sharif emphasized that targeting innocent civilians and economic installations is “unbearable” and cannot be tolerated.

“Pakistan reiterates its full and continued cooperation for the protection of Saudi Arabia’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity,” the Prime Minister added.

He further expressed Pakistan’s complete and unwavering solidarity with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the entire people of Saudi Arabia.

“Pakistan stands with our Saudi brothers and sisters at this critical time. The security of the Kingdom is inseparable from the security of Pakistan,” PM Sharif concluded.
