Five Killed as Cargo Plane Crashes After Landing at Miami Airport

MIAMI:** A cargo aircraft crashed after landing at Miami International Airport, bursting into flames and leaving at least five people dead.

According to foreign media reports, the Boeing 767-300 cargo plane had departed from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Puerto Rico on Sunday and crashed after veering off the runway while landing at Miami International Airport.

The aircraft reportedly struck several vehicles on a road after leaving the runway, following which a fire broke out on the plane. At least five people were killed in the accident.

Following the crash, all runways at the airport were closed and an emergency was declared. Fire and rescue services told US media that several people were receiving medical treatment.

Authorities said the cause of the crash had not yet been determined.

Videos and photographs shared on social media from the scene showed thick black smoke rising from the aircraft following the crash.
