Peace, Prosperity and Welfare of Balochistan People Remain State’s Central Focus: Asim Munir

QUETTA:Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir has said that the peace, prosperity and welfare of the people of Balochistan remain at the centre of the state’s efforts.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir visited **Quetta Garrison** and met with commanders and commanding officers of field formations.

The ISPR said the field marshal received a comprehensive briefing on the overall security situation in Balochistan, operational preparedness and ongoing measures aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the province.

Issues related to institutional coordination and cooperation for the province’s **socio-economic development** were also reviewed during the visit.

Field Marshal Asim Munir appreciated the high level of professionalism, operational readiness and selfless commitment of the troops. He emphasized the importance of continued and effective coordination among law-enforcement agencies and other state institutions to maintain an environment conducive to peace, economic activity and development.

He said the peace, prosperity and welfare of Balochistan’s people were the central focus of the state’s efforts. A stable and secure environment, he added, would help promote development projects, economic opportunities and a better future for the people of the province.

The Chief of Defence Forces paid tribute to the **great sacrifices of the martyrs** and appreciated the steadfastness and dedication of officers and soldiers in the performance of their duties.

Upon his arrival in Quetta, Field Marshal Asim Munir was received by the **Commander Quetta Corps**.
