Security Forces’ Effective Counterterrorism Operations Commendable: Sardar Abdul Rahman Khetran

QUETTA: Former Balochistan provincial minister and member of the Balochistan Assembly Sardar Abdul Rahman Khetran has praised the successful operations conducted by security forces in Nokchah, Chagai, and Ziarat Cross, Pishin, describing their efforts against terrorism as commendable.

In a statement, Khetran said state institutions were responding firmly to every attempt to undermine peace in Balochistan. He said the recent operations had demonstrated the capability and determination of security forces to take action against elements seeking to disrupt law and order.

He said the people of Balochistan had endured countless difficulties for peace over a long period and could no longer be allowed to have their lives, businesses and development activities disrupted through fear and insecurity.

Khetran said terrorism was not merely a security issue but also an attempt to undermine Balochistan’s economic and social development. He noted that peace would create new opportunities for employment, investment, trade and development, making it essential to maintain stability in the province.

Paying tribute to the performance of security forces, he said personnel serving under difficult circumstances had once again demonstrated their professional capabilities. The sacrifices and services of state institutions were a matter of pride for the nation, he added.

Khetran also paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the fight against terrorism, saying the sacrifices of the martyrs were the foundation of a secure future for Balochistan and Pakistan. He said the nation would never forget its martyrs and would continue to honor their families.

He stressed that the entire nation must remain united and support state institutions in the fight against terrorism. Cooperation between citizens and security agencies could play a key role in defeating terrorism and establishing lasting peace, he added.

Khetran said the people of Balochistan wanted peace, development and prosperity, and elements attempting to spread unrest would never succeed in achieving their objectives.

He added that through joint efforts by the government, people and security institutions, the journey toward a more stable and peaceful Balochistan would continue.
