Try Removing PCB’s Top Leadership for Once, the Problem Starts There: Asad Umar
ISLAMABAD: Former federal minister and politician Asad Umar has strongly criticized the top leadership of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over the national cricket team’s continued failures, repeated changes and alleged humiliating treatment of players.
In a post on social media platform X, Asad Umar said treating national players “like cockroaches” and repeatedly humiliating them would not improve the state of cricket in the country.
The former minister criticized the board’s repeated decisions to dismiss coaches and players following poor performances, saying they were continuously made scapegoats for failures.

He said that despite repeatedly removing coaches and players, the results remained unchanged and the national team continued to face the same problems.
Asad Umar suggested that instead of constantly putting the blame on players and coaches, the PCB should try removing its top leadership for once.
He argued that the administrative shortcomings and failures within the cricket setup ultimately stemmed from the leadership at the top, and that changing players and coaches alone would not resolve the underlying problems.
