Ministers Have Found a New Way to Act Like Opposition Leaders and TV Anchors: Rauf Klasra

ISLAMABAD: Renowned journalist and analyst Rauf Klasra has strongly criticized Federal Minister for Climate Change Dr. Musadik Malik over his remarks and style of discussion regarding the recent situation at PIMS Hospital.

Commenting on Musadik Malik’s statements about the hospital’s poor condition and administrative issues, Klasra sarcastically said the minister’s “dialogue delivery” was so impressive that he deserved an Oscar award.

He said that listening to the federal minister’s remarks gave the impression that he had nothing to do with the government or the administrative failures and shortcomings of the very government he was part of.

The senior journalist also criticized the broader attitude of government ministers, saying they had apparently discovered a new and unusual way of presenting themselves.

According to Klasra, ministers sitting in the corridors of power now speak as if they were opposition leaders, television anchors or journalists.

He said their statements created the impression that they had no connection whatsoever with the government’s shortcomings, poor performance or alleged incompetence, despite being members of the ruling administration.
