Hira Qaiser Crowned Winner of Pakistan Idol Season 2

Faisalabad’s Hira Qaiser has won the second season of Pakistan Idol after emerging victorious in the grand finale held on Sunday.

Hira, who comes from a middle-class family, impressed both the judges and the audience with her strong performances throughout the competition.

Speaking to Geo News, Hira said she would now work toward fulfilling her dreams and credited her success to the prayers and support of her parents and family.

In an interview with the BBC, she said her entire family had supported her throughout the journey, including her mother, sisters and husband. She added that her brother initially had some reservations but later began supporting her and encouraged her to win the competition.

Hira said whatever she knows about music was because of her late father, Qaiser Ali, who passed away eight years ago.

She revealed that she studied until the eighth grade and got married in 2013.

As the winner of Pakistan Idol Season 2, Hira received a cash prize of Rs1.5 million.

Talking about the prize money, Hira said she had decided from the very beginning that if she won the competition, she would use the prize money to build a home for her children.
