Imran Khan’s Hospital Transfer: PTI Urges Workers Not to Gather Outside Hospital

Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has appealed to party workers and supporters not to gather outside the hospital when PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan is transferred there.
In a statement, the party urged workers to maintain a peaceful environment outside the hospital in the interest of Imran Khan’s health and treatment and to cooperate fully in ensuring implementation of the Supreme Court’s orders.
The PTI said millions of Pakistanis had been expressing concern over Imran Khan’s health for several weeks and welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision, saying it strengthened the demand for better medical facilities for the former premier.
The party expressed hope that the relevant authorities would implement the court’s directives in letter and spirit. It said the involvement of Imran Khan’s personal physician and family members would allow an impartial assessment of his medical history and called for immediate and unhindered implementation of the court order.
According to the PTI, meetings between Imran Khan and his family should also be ensured in accordance with the Supreme Court’s directions. The party urged all concerned to uphold legal and human rights during the difficult period.
The PTI welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision and appreciated the protection of Imran Khan’s fundamental right to health and human dignity.
The party said the Supreme Court had ordered Imran Khan’s immediate transfer to Shifa International Hospital and directed the formation of a medical board comprising specialist doctors.
The board will include specialists in fields such as ophthalmology and cardiology, along with other relevant medical experts, to conduct a comprehensive examination of Imran Khan.
The PTI also called for the inclusion of Dr Faisal Sultan and Dr Uzma Khan in the medical board, as directed by the court.
