JUI-F Decides Not to Form Alliance with PTI, Maintains Independent Stance

Islamabad:Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F)** has officially announced its decision not to join any alliance formed at the behest of **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)**. The decision was made following the two-day general council meeting of the party, where it was concluded that the party would not be part of any alliance linked to PTI.

In a statement released at the end of the meeting, JUI-F confirmed that it will continue to remain an **independent opposition** in Parliament. The party emphasized that it will continue to monitor parliamentary proceedings and will determine its cooperation with PTI on a case-by-case basis when necessary.

JUI-F also highlighted that despite repeated and fervent requests from PTI, the party had sought clarifications from PTI in private regarding certain matters, but weeks had passed without receiving any responses.

The party expressed its intention to form a broad political alliance against the government, one that could include various political parties. Additionally, JUI-F has been engaged in behind-the-scenes negotiations with the **establishment**, aiming to solidify its role in any larger political framework. The party’s leadership sought to position itself strategically in these covert discussions to ensure it maintains its relevance in the political landscape.

Political analysts believe that JUI-F, under the leadership of **Maulana Fazlur Rehman**, has made prudent decisions regarding national matters. The party has shown its clear stance on key issues, including its support for its Sindh chapter’s position regarding the issue of water distribution, specifically related to the **canal project** in Punjab.

JUI-F has also declared that it will not take any active role in decisions regarding the **Minerals and Mines** law but will work to protect the constitutional rights of the provinces involved.

In addition to these announcements, JUI-F’s sources confirmed to **Jang** that the party will be holding a major rally at **Minar-e-Pakistan** on **April 27**, 2025. Additional gatherings are also scheduled for **Peshawar** on **May 10** and **Quetta** on **May 17**, 2025.

The party’s decision to maintain its independent stance and not to join any alliance with PTI, coupled with its planned rallies, signals its continued focus on strengthening its position in the country’s political and legislative domains.
