Taxila TikToker Shamsho Bibi Alias Ayesha Murder: Father Names Two Suspects, Police Launch Probe
TAXILA: Significant developments have emerged in the murder case of popular TikToker Shamsho Bibi, also known as Ayesha, who was shot dead in Taxila.
According to the victim’s father, his daughter had a financial dispute with two individuals, identified as Kausar and Shahin, who had allegedly threatened her. He said Shamsho had previously lodged a complaint against them in Islamabad.
The father also raised questions about the alleged role of Kashif, alias Kashi, saying that he had reportedly called Shamsho shortly before the shooting. He expressed suspicion that the nominated individuals could either be directly involved in the murder or may have allegedly arranged the attack through others.
According to family sources, Shamsho Bibi had been making videos on TikTok for the past three to four years and had around 1.3 million followers, with her account accumulating more than 30 million likes. Following her death, her family deactivated her TikTok account.
Meanwhile, CCTV footage of the attack has emerged. According to police, two motorcycle riders opened fire on the vehicle carrying the TikToker in the limits of Taxila Police Station.
The FIR states that Shamsho Bibi had a financial dispute with Kausar and Javed, alias Shahin, and had allegedly informed her family several times about threats she had received.
According to the FIR, a man identified as Kashif Kashi called Shamsho and asked her to meet him. She subsequently left home in a vehicle accompanied by her sister and brother.
The FIR states that near a private petrol station, motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire on the vehicle. Shamsho suffered gunshot wounds to the neck. Following the shooting, the vehicle collided with a dumper, leaving her 15-year-old sister injured.
The case was registered by Taxila Police on the complaint of the victim’s father. The FIR alleges that the suspects may have killed Shamsho themselves or through unidentified accomplices with the intention of taking money.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are examining the CCTV footage and other evidence to determine the identity and motive of the attackers.
