Independence Day Reminds Us of Great Sacrifices, Struggle and Ideals: Prince Agha Umar Jan Ahmedzai

QUETTA: Parliamentary Secretary for Population Welfare Prince Agha Umar Jan Ahmedzai and Population Secretary Zafar Buleedi have extended heartfelt Independence Day greetings to all Pakistanis, particularly the people of Balochistan.
Addressing a ceremony held to mark Independence Day, Prince Agha Umar Jan Ahmedzai said August 14 reminded the nation of the extraordinary sacrifices, struggle and ideals of its forefathers.
He said freedom was a great blessing and protecting it in its true spirit was a collective responsibility of every citizen.
He emphasized that building a strong, stable and prosperous Pakistan required every citizen to utilize their individual and collective abilities. Promoting unity, solidarity and a sense of responsibility was essential for national development and stability, he added.
Prince Agha Umar Jan Ahmedzai said the development of Balochistan and the welfare of its people remained among the government’s top priorities. He added that effective measures would continue to be taken for the progress and well-being of the people of the province.
The ceremony concluded with a special prayer for Pakistan’s security, the prosperity of the nation, peace and stability in Balochistan, and the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country.
