Russian President Putin Congratulates Zardari and PM Shehbaz on Pakistan’s Independence Day
ISLAMABAD: Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended heartfelt Independence Day greetings to President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, expressing his wishes for peace, prosperity and development for the people of Pakistan.
In his congratulatory message, Putin asked President Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz to accept warm greetings from the Russian people and himself on Pakistan’s national day.
The Russian president expressed his best wishes for peace, prosperity and continued progress for the people of Pakistan.
Putin said relations between Russia and Pakistan were progressing successfully, with Moscow and Islamabad maintaining productive cooperation in political, trade, economic, humanitarian and other fields.
He noted that the two countries were also working together on important regional and international issues.
Putin expressed hope that Russia and Pakistan would continue constructive joint efforts to further strengthen their bilateral partnership in all areas, in the interests of their friendly peoples and in support of global peace, security and stability.
The Russian president also wished President Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif good health and success in all their endeavours, expressing hope that the people of Pakistan would always enjoy peace and prosperity.
