Separatist Narrative Will Never Succeed in Weakening Pakistan: CM Balochistan
Islamabad/Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has said that attempts to weaken Pakistan through a separatist narrative will never succeed, stressing that the future of Balochistan is linked with Pakistan.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti expressed these views during a special interaction with students participating in the ISPR Summer Internship Programme 2026. More than 6,150 students from 21 stations across Pakistan participated in the programme.
The chief minister spoke about terrorism in Balochistan, Fitna al-Hindustan, anti-state propaganda, Afghanistan, social media and governance.
Addressing the students, Bugti said that Fitna al-Hindustan and other terrorist elements were attempting to spread unrest in Balochistan through violence. He said efforts to weaken Pakistan through a separatist narrative would never succeed.
He alleged that issues relating to human rights, particularly missing persons, were being used to promote an anti-state narrative and terrorism.
Bugti said the Balochistan government and security forces were working under a coordinated strategy to combat terrorism and restore peace in the province.
Referring to Pakistan’s security concerns linked to elements based in Afghanistan, he said the Afghan interim government must honour its international commitments regarding anti-Pakistan elements operating from its territory.
The chief minister said that a popular narrative was not necessarily a narrative of truth. He maintained that standing with Pakistan meant standing with the truth.
Bugti emphasized that Balochistan’s future was inseparable from Pakistan and said the development, prosperity and survival of the Baloch people were linked to a strong and stable Pakistan.
