Armed Men Attack Security Checkpost in Chagai, Destroy It With Explosives and Flee

CHAGAI: Unknown armed men attacked a security checkpost in the Chhattar area of Chagai district and destroyed it using explosives before fleeing the scene, police said.

According to police sources, the Chhattar checkpost was targeted at around 2 a.m. The unidentified attackers initially launched an assault on the post and subsequently used explosive material to demolish the facility.

Police said the checkpost is located along the N-40 highway, approximately 52 kilometres from Dalbandin.

Following the incident, law enforcement agencies launched an operation in the area and began a search for the attackers. Security personnel are conducting investigations to trace those involved in the attack.

Police officials said all aspects of the incident were being investigated, including the identity of the attackers and the motives behind the attack.
