Steps Underway to Strengthen CTD and Improve Investigations in Balochistan: IGP Muhammad Tahir

Quetta: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Balochistan **Muhammad Tahir** has said that solid measures are being taken to **further strengthen the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD)** and make the **investigative process more effective** across the province.

Speaking to officers and personnel during a police darbar in **Noshki**, the IGP said the police are utilizing all available resources to ensure **lasting peace and security** in Balochistan. **DIG Rakhshan Range Ayaz Ahmed Baloch** and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.

IGP Muhammad Tahir listened to the issues of police officers and personnel and assured them that their problems would be resolved on a **priority basis**. During his visit, he also **inspected the police lines and local police station**.

He emphasized that **public cooperation is essential** to thwart the designs of anti-state and terrorist elements and to make Balochistan a peaceful province. “The police force remains fully active to protect the lives and property of citizens and will continue action against criminal elements,” he asserted.

Paying tribute to the martyrs, the IGP said, “Our officers and personnel have embraced martyrdom while protecting citizens. The sacrifices of our martyrs are a guiding light for us, and their mission will be carried forward to completion.”

He added that the **families of martyrs are not alone**, as the entire police force stands with them. “All available resources are being utilized for the welfare and support of the martyrs’ families,” the IGP concluded.
