Pakistan Grants Special Humanitarian Entry to Afghan Newborn for Medical Treatment

PESHAWAR: Pakistani authorities have granted special humanitarian permission for a 10-day-old Afghan newborn to enter the country for urgent medical treatment through the Torkham border crossing.

According to official sources, the infant, who belongs to Jalalabad, Afghanistan, was allowed to enter Pakistan along with his parents after authorities approved the request on humanitarian grounds.

Officials said the newborn has been admitted to the Frontier Corps (FC) Hospital, where he is receiving the necessary medical care and treatment.

Authorities stated that, considering the baby’s critical health condition, Pakistani officials acted promptly to facilitate his entry into the country to ensure he received timely medical assistance.

The humanitarian gesture reflects Pakistan’s continued willingness to provide emergency medical access in exceptional cases involving vulnerable patients across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
