Court Orders Registration of Case Against Balochistan Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Kumar Panjwani

Quetta: An Additional Sessions Court-II in Quetta has ordered the registration of a case against Sanjay Kumar Panjwani, Parliamentary Secretary for Minority Affairs, under the PECA Act and other relevant laws.

The court issued the order after hearing arguments on a petition filed by Raj Kumar Jagwani.

In his petition, Jagwani alleged that Sanjay Kumar Panjwani made baseless and false allegations against him and his family, which he claimed damaged his personal reputation as well as the honor and social standing of his family.

The petitioner argued that the statements and actions of the respondent had negatively affected his reputation and requested the court to order legal action under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and other criminal laws.

After reviewing arguments from both sides, Additional Sessions Judge-II directed the relevant authorities to register a case against Sanjay Kumar Panjwani based on the allegations mentioned in the petition and proceed further according to the law.

Following the court’s order, the matter has now entered the investigation phase, where the concerned authorities will examine evidence and facts before deciding the next course of action.

Legal experts said that after registration of the case, further proceedings will depend on the findings of the investigation.

The petition was represented in court by lawyers from Lincon Law Associates, who argued that the allegations against Jagwani and his family were unfounded and had caused harm to their reputation, requiring legal protection.
