Airstrikes Reported on Yemen’s Hodeidah and Kamaran Island Amid Rising Saudi-Houthi Tensions

A foreign news agency, citing eyewitnesses, reported that multiple airstrikes were carried out on Yemen’s **Hodeidah Port** and **Kamaran Island**.

Houthi-affiliated television channel **Al Masirah** claimed that Saudi warplanes launched airstrikes on the western Yemeni coastal city of Hodeidah and also targeted Kamaran Island.

Saudi authorities have neither confirmed nor denied the reported strikes. The developments come a day after Yemen’s Houthi movement, **Ansar Allah**, claimed responsibility for targeting two Saudi oil tankers, alleging that the vessels had violated the group’s declared naval blockade.

Meanwhile, Saudi state media reported that a Saudi-owned ship caught fire at its bow after being attacked while sailing in the Red Sea. The report said all crew members were safely evacuated and no casualties were reported.

Earlier this week, Ansar Allah announced a naval blockade against Saudi Arabia, saying the move was in response to the blockade imposed on Yemen and the continued closure of Sana’a International Airport. A spokesperson for the group said, “A blockade will be answered with a blockade.”

The claims made by the Houthis and reports of the alleged airstrikes have not been independently verified.
