Pakistan, China Agree to Strengthen Strategic Cooperation Amid Middle East Tensions

Beijing: Foreign ministers of Pakistan and China have agreed to further تعزيز their strategic cooperation, particularly regarding the evolving situation in Iran, as tensions rise in the Middle East.

According to a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry, both countries reaffirmed their status as strategic partners under all circumstances and emphasized their alignment on regional and international issues. The two sides pledged to continue joint efforts aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the region.

The spokesperson added that China will continue to play a constructive role in de-escalating tensions. Despite the ongoing regional volatility, three Chinese vessels reportedly passed safely through the Strait of Hormuz, with Beijing expressing appreciation for the cooperation of all relevant parties.

China also voiced concern over damage to historical sites during the conflict and urged all parties—particularly the United States and Israel—to immediately halt military operations and avoid further escalation.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is currently on an official visit to China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart. During the visit, both sides are expected to hold discussions on regional developments, bilateral relations, and key global issues of mutual interest.
