US Conducts Eighth Consecutive Night of Airstrikes Against Iran
Washington/Tehran:** The United States military has carried out an eighth consecutive night of air and military operations against Iran, claiming to have struck multiple military targets as tensions between the two countries continue to escalate.
According to a statement issued by the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the latest strikes targeted Iran’s coastal surveillance systems, air defense installations, naval capabilities, and missile and drone storage facilities.
CENTCOM said the operations were aimed at further degrading Iran’s military capabilities and limiting its ability to conduct potential attacks across the region.
The US military also stated that members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), who are alleged to have been linked to attacks on American troops stationed in Jordan, were among those targeted during the operations.
