Pakistan Condemns Houthi Missile Attacks on Saudi Arabia, Reaffirms Support at UN

United Nations:** Pakistan has strongly condemned the Houthi ballistic missile attacks on Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Kingdom’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Speaking at an emergency meeting of the **United Nations Security Council** on the situation in the Middle East, particularly Yemen, Pakistan’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, **Usman Jadoon**, denounced the missile attacks launched by the Houthis against Saudi Arabia.
Jadoon stated that Pakistan stands firmly with Saudi Arabia in safeguarding its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He also reiterated Pakistan’s support for the sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity of Yemen.
He urged all parties to pursue dialogue, diplomacy, and restraint to help reduce tensions across the region, emphasizing that a lasting solution to the Yemen conflict can only be achieved through an inclusive political process.
According to foreign media reports, the spokesperson for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen, **Major General Turki Al-Maliki**, said on Monday that Houthi forces fired ballistic missiles toward southern Saudi Arabia, but the Kingdom’s air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed them before impact.
The missile launches came after the Houthis accused Saudi Arabia of carrying out airstrikes on **Sanaa International Airport**, warning that the Kingdom would face consequences for the operation.
