JUI-F Leader Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri Alleges Ziarat and Hanna Urak Attacks Are Part of a Planned Campaign

Quetta: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Secretary General and Member of the National Assembly Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has paid tribute to those killed in the Ziarat and Hanna Urak incidents, alleging that the attacks were part of a planned campaign and strongly criticizing the government’s handling of the security situation in Balochistan.

Speaking in a statement, Haideri described the attacks on civilians in Hanna Urak and on police personnel in Ziarat as tragic and condemnable. He claimed that the incidents were not isolated events but part of a broader pattern affecting both Pashtun and بلوچ communities.

He alleged that the people of Balochistan had suffered decades of violence despite their loyalty to the country and criticized what he described as the government’s failure to protect lives and maintain law and order. Haideri also questioned the effectiveness of state institutions, saying that despite significant public spending on security, people continued to face violence and insecurity.

The JUI-F leader urged political parties and tribal elders to unite against what he described as injustice and warned that his party would not remain silent. He said peaceful protests should not be interpreted as a sign of weakness and called for a stronger collective response to the province’s security challenges.

Haideri further criticized the provincial government’s response to incidents involving kidnappings, killings, and violence, alleging that authorities had limited their role to issuing condemnation statements while failing to provide adequate protection to the public.
