Khuzdar DHQ Teaching Hospital Medical Superintendent Suspended Over Administrative Negligence

Quetta: Balochistan government spokesperson and Adviser to the Chief Minister on Political and Media Affairs Shahid Rind announced that the Medical Superintendent of DHQ Teaching Hospital Khuzdar, Dr. Sarmad Saeed Khan, has been suspended with immediate effect following alleged administrative negligence and unsatisfactory medical arrangements after the recent tragic incident in Khuzdar.
According to Shahid Rind, the suspension has been ordered under the Balochistan Employees Efficiency and Discipline Act (BEEDA) 2011 after the provincial government took serious notice of the hospital’s poor performance and management failures.
He said the action was taken on the directives of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, who has instructed authorities to ensure the provision of quality and timely healthcare services. He emphasized that negligence, incompetence, or dereliction of duty in public service institutions would not be tolerated.
Rind stated that accountability and transparency remain top priorities of the provincial government, adding that any official found guilty of failing to perform their responsibilities would face legal action without discrimination.
He further said that the Balochistan government is continuing reforms in the healthcare sector through improved administration, stronger oversight, and better service delivery. All relevant officials have been directed to perform their duties with integrity, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility.
The provincial government reiterated its commitment to protecting the lives of citizens, ensuring access to essential public services, and strengthening accountability to improve the performance of government institutions.
