Imam Khomeini’s Legacy Honored in Quetta Conference Focused on Palestinian Solidarity

Quetta:Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) **Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch** has strongly condemned the ongoing genocide in Gaza, holding **the United States, Israel**, and **silent Muslim rulers and military commanders** equally responsible for the atrocities against the Palestinian people.
Speaking at a conference held at **Madrassa Khatam-un-Nabiyin (PBUH)** in Quetta to mark the **36th death anniversary of Imam Khomeini**, Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman emphasized that despite the presence of millions of Muslim soldiers, stockpiles of arms, and even nuclear weapons, **mass killings in Gaza continue unchecked**. He praised **Imam Khomeini** as a symbol of resistance, honesty, and Islamic dignity, who stood firmly for the rights of the oppressed.
The conference, titled *“Imam Khomeini’s Role in Supporting Oppressed Palestine”*, began with **Qur’an recitation** in memory of Imam Khomeini and the martyrs of Palestine.
Prominent speakers at the event included:
* **Syed Abu al-Hasan Miry**, Director General of Khana-e-Farhang, Islamic Republic of Iran in Quetta, who recalled Imam Khomeini’s support for the Palestinian cause as early as 1963, even before the Islamic Revolution.
* **Allama Maqsood Ali Domki**, Central Secretary for Publications of **Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan**, who noted that Imam Khomeini not only awakened Iran but also inspired oppressed communities across the globe. He implemented the **Qur’anic political and ideological values** practically and proclaimed **“Quds Day”** to globalize the Palestinian issue.
* **Allama Sheikh Vilayat Hussain Jafari**, **Maulana Muhammad Arif Damrah**, **Maulana Chaman Ali Afzali**, and **Syed Mir Hussain Hussaini** also paid tribute to Imam Khomeini’s vision and leadership.
Speakers collectively condemned the **US-Israel alliance** and their ongoing war crimes in Gaza, describing them as the modern-day forces of tyranny. They also criticized **Muslim rulers** for their silence and inaction, calling them **”negligent, subservient, and incompetent.”**
A strong call was made for:
* **Boycotting Israeli and American products**
* **Providing humanitarian aid to Palestinians**, both individually and collectively
* **Standing united against imperialist forces**
The conference concluded with the message that **Imam Khomeini’s vision remains a beacon of resistance for the oppressed**, and that **the liberation of Palestine is a collective responsibility of the Muslim Ummah**.
