Tauqeer Haider and Farah Saadia Dismiss Fake Marriage Rumours With Humorous Response

Islamabad: Pakistani television host and actor Tauqeer Haider and veteran actress and presenter Farah Saadia have dismissed viral rumours claiming they had secretly married, describing the reports as completely false and responding with humor in a joint video message.

The rumours, accompanied by AI-generated wedding images, circulated widely on social media and were shared by several YouTube channels.

In the video, the two jokingly opened by saying, “Yes, we are married. We wanted to break the news ourselves, but so-called professional YouTubers announced it before we could.”

Tauqeer Haider humorously remarked that when he woke up, he discovered he had supposedly married Farah Saadia. Referring to the fabricated wedding images, he joked that he looked like a handsome groom while Farah appeared as a beautiful bride.

He also took a light-hearted swipe at content creators, saying that if they had earned money by spreading the fake story, they should at least send the pair a share of the earnings as a traditional wedding gift. He added that he was content with being single, while joking that Farah had concluded after marriage that it “wasn’t for her.”

Farah Saadia also rejected the rumours, saying she was genuinely shocked when she first came across the reports. She criticized those creating false stories for online views, pointing out that such rumours affect not only public figures but also their families, including their children and parents.

“We are just good friends and we will always remain friends,” she said, urging social media users and content creators to refrain from spreading fabricated stories and to respect people’s private lives.

Tauqeer Haider and Farah Saadia have been associated with Pakistan Television’s Islamabad Centre for many years and are among the country’s well-known television hosts. In addition to hosting popular morning shows, both have appeared in numerous television dramas and continue to work in the entertainment industry.

The incident highlights the growing spread of AI-generated images and misinformation on social media, which has increasingly targeted public figures with fabricated stories and manipulated visuals.
