Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti Announces Rs12 Million Grant During Visit to Girls Cadet College Quetta

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, accompanied by Balochistan Corps Commander Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan, visited Girls Cadet College Quetta, where he announced a special grant of Rs12 million for the institution.

During the visit, the chief minister and the corps commander toured various academic faculties, classrooms, training facilities, and educational departments. They praised the college’s modern education system, high teaching standards, disciplined environment, and the professional efforts of its administration.

Addressing the students, Bugti described Girls Cadet College Quetta as one of Pakistan’s premier educational institutions and said its students represent the country’s bright future. He expressed confidence that the graduates of the college would excel in their respective fields and make meaningful contributions to Pakistan’s development.

The chief minister encouraged the students to promote unity, patriotism, and national values wherever they go, emphasizing that the state of Pakistan provides its citizens with identity, dignity, and opportunity.

He also urged students to distinguish between facts and propaganda, alleging that organized misinformation campaigns are being used to influence young people. Bugti further claimed that certain groups operating under the banner of nationalism at some universities attempt to mislead students, and advised young people to remain focused on education and the country’s progress.
Highlighting the provincial government’s education initiatives, Bugti said efforts are underway to provide world-class educational opportunities for talented students, including access to internationally renowned universities such as Harvard and Oxford.

The chief minister also alleged that anti-state elements were attempting to exploit Baloch girls for acts of violence, calling such actions contrary to humanitarian values and Baloch traditions. He said Baloch society has always upheld education, peace, awareness, and respect for women.

Bugti described Girls Cadet College Quetta as an institution that reflects the province’s educational aspirations and pledged his personal support for its continued development. He announced a Rs12 million special grant and said the provincial government would make every effort to help the college achieve international standards.

At the conclusion of the visit, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan planted a commemorative tree on the college campus.
