Security Forces Foil Alleged Major Terror Plot in Mastung, Four Suspected Militants Killed

Mastung: Security forces have foiled an alleged major terrorist plot during an operation in the Killi Padah area of Mastung, according to official sources.

The sources said four suspected militants were killed during the operation, while another suspected suicide bomber detonated his explosive vest, killing himself.

Following the operation, security forces recovered a large cache of explosives, including eight improvised explosive devices (IEDs), weapons, ammunition, and two vehicles allegedly intended for use in preparing vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs).

Security personnel cordoned off the area and completed a search operation to ensure no additional threats remained.

Authorities said further investigations are underway to determine the identity of the suspects and uncover the full extent of the alleged terrorist network and the planned attack. No casualties among security forces or civilians were reported in the initial information released by officials.
